Fishing/Camping Weekend

Last weekend Chris and I journeyed down to Kenai for some camping (I even slept in a tent 9 months pregnant) and fishing with his parents, grandparents, uncle and cousin. Normally we would be dip netting, but as I am 9 months pregnant we didn't do that last weekend (Chris is going to go dip netting this coming weekend, assuming we don't go into labor before then). We did however get out our fishing poles and do some good old rod and reel fishing! I had asked the doctor the Wednesday before if that would be ok and she told me as long as I don't reel in that 75 pound king I should be ok and to stop if I think it is too much. My blood pressure had been high last week, so she told me I should for the most part take it easy and try to relax as much as possible.

Well, I didn't manage to take too many pictures, but Saturday was a gorgeous day so we all did some fishing throughout the day. Chris's uncle was the fisherman of the weekend catching the most fish, but if I has fished more than 20 minutes I'm sure it would have been me :) I managed to pull in 2 fish in 20 minutes...I stopped after that because I was getting a little too excited and I could feel my heart starting to race. But, hey, not too bad for being 3 weeks away from our due date! I didn't take any pictures with my fish, but I think it is fair to say Brookelynn (the unborn baby girl) has some bragging rights already, she is 2 up on her dad for the season already! When I was reeling in my first fish, she decided it was exciting and was moving all around, it was pretty entertaining!

Here are a few pictures of the weekend:
Chris's first attempt at fishing, he lost his tackle right after this...
